What?
Lifestyle encompasses every aspect of the way we live our lives, going from the way we breathe, what we eat, how (often) we exercise, to stress management, work-life balance, and social connection.
Lifestyle medicine is a medical specialty that uses therapeutic lifestyle interventions as a primary modality to treat a wide range of chronic conditions. These prescriptive lifestyle changes are meant to treat, and when used intensively, often even reverse such conditions. Applying the 9 pillars of lifestyle medicine also provides effective prevention for these conditions.
